Post 100!

Woohoo! What a milestone. 100 posts in 100 days without fail. Some good, some bad, most indifferent. But all read by someone – even if it was just Alison – and that makes me feel like it’s worth persevering. I’ve learned a bit of discipline, to write things down when I think of them, and to do things as soon as the mood takes me, because you don’t know when it will be back and you write far better when enthusiastic about something.

So, being an absolute stat freak in many respects and directions, I thought I would publish some of my blog stats from the first 100 days of doing this.

Smallest number of views – 2

Largest number of views – 45 (‘Boarder Cross’, Feb 16th – that event at the Winter Olympics seems to have been a water cooler moment all round, a few Google searches brought complete strangers to this page that day)

Best week – w/c March 29th (a staggering 158 views, thank you for stopping by!)

Best month – March (392 views, though April already looks like it might challenge that which is very nice!)

Highest average in a week23 (same week as above for obvious reasons)

Overall average – 10 views per day

Overall total (at time of writing) – 940 (roll on 1000!)

So a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has read anything on here, and thanks especially to those who have commented. It doesn’t display comments automatically, you have to seek them out, so I’ll see if I can tweak the settings so it publishes them on the main page – that way people are more likely to leave further comments. Here’s to the next 100 posts!
